I’m back from SXSW.

Did I have a press pass to videotape (and possibly interview) Treasure Fingers, Designer Drugs, Ocelot, Ladyhawke, Miami Horror, Holy Ghost!, Villains, Don Rimini, and Boys Noize?

Yes. Did I?
No.

My wallet was stolen and I couldn’t prove my identity.
I couldn’t even get into the shows because I couldn’t prove I was over 21 years old.
Wonderful. I drove back to Houston the next day.

Other than driving Miami Horror from Houston to Austin, the trip was worthless.
Whatever. This post has nothing to do with my sob story.

At the very least, 2 days of Miami Horror made me want to dig out some synthy tracks to share.

I’m having a bad day. It shows, doesn’t it? Exercise 4 by Bent is a great morning track. No Turning Back by Gui Boratto is absolutely incredible at the 3 minute 5 second mark. Speicherbar by And One is a great track for night driving, especially when you have a bunch of German teenagers in the back of your car (true story). My Way by Starskee (remixed by Le Defi) is a good track to listen to while losing your sanity. If you like the other tracks, there’s always Discogs to help you learn more.
